I am a 22 year old artist and Cinema Slave currently residing in Stratford, East London. I was born and grew up in North Yorkshire, and my connections with the countryside often influence my work. At the moment I am producing a lot of photography and film work, as well as doing a few digital paintings in my spare time. Also trying to get work experience (and maybe even paid work if I'm lucky) in art departments in film & TV. So far I've been "Second Assistant Camera" (sounds impressive don't it?) on a short film High Rise directed by Ben Dixon, and I'm due to help with the xmas set-dressing on QVC tv at the end of the month! Huzzah!

I feel like crap

I have some sort of bad cold (hopefully not swine-flu) - which seems like the perfect opportunity to update some photography here on DA if only I could be bothered to plug in my hard-drive - it's all the way over there! *points*

I am perfectly in my rights to feel sorry for myself, and will be accepting all your cures and chocolate here in my home office (bed) - please send to: 1 headache lane, sore throat town, acheland, IM1N HE11

Hello :) I haven't been that busy, I just avoided updating DA for months and have now spammed everyone's watches. I graduated in June but Derby uni doesn't have the ceremony until January. How are you? Your bio sounds very impressive :) Your work is looking lovely and varied. Very mixed media! I'm working part time as a graphic designer and doing freelance inbetween. In January I'll be doing a postgraduate Animation course to learn some 3D as most animation studio jobs require at least a little 3D ^_^; Overall I'm just doing the struggling artist thing lol

Thankyou :) yeah the struggling artist thing sucks! It means you can't eat chocolate whenever you like at the end of the month! I'm working part time at the cinema (supposed to be full time but they never give me enough hours... this week is the first time I've actually had over 30!) - and also for the last 5 weeks I've been working at QVC (the shopping channel) freelance, making all the christmassy stuff for their sets. So if you turn on QVC any time between now and xmas you'll see my work! lol.
Yeah what is it with this graduation thing? I left uni in July but I don't "graduate" till March! It's like they think that art degrees don't really matter so they don't have to graduate straight away. I've been a bit lax with uploading stuff too - I got loads of photography, and a narnia illustration to upload, plus I haven't worked out how to get a video account yet so none of that is on display on DA. I'm glad you're doing stuff anyway :) good luck with it all! x
