United Kingdom
Catie Atkinson is an Art Department Assistant and Runner from London. She was born and grew up in North Yorkshire before moving south to study Fine Art at Kingston University. While studying she became involved with YAT (Youth Action Theatre), a local youth theatre group. As well as acting on stage, she has been heavily involved in the set construction and painting and prop-making for the group's productions at Hampton Hill Playhouse, and this is how she first became interested in Set Design and Prop-making. Since graduating with a First in Fine Art in 2009 she has been involved in scenic painting, set design, and prop making for several theatre groups in the Kingston area, as well as assisting Graduate films at the National Film and Television School, set dressing for QVC, and taking on various roles in both film production and post production. Catie's latest film project was "Dear Mr Cameron", which was an exciting project and a great opportunity to design for a concept that was very different from much of her previous work.
